Natalie is the owner and heart of Song and Rhythm Music Studio. A firm believer that music should be enjoyed rather than simply "endured," she has dedicated her career to making music lessons as meaningful as they are fun.

Originally from Texas, Natalie earned her B.A. from Brigham Young University, where she studied Family Studies and Music. This background allows her to approach teaching with a unique focus on student development and family connection. With years of experience as a private instructor and choir director, she specializes in helping students of all ages find their unique sound and build lasting confidence.

Now settled in Oregon with her husband and two children, Natalie spends her time outside the studio hiking and exploring National Parks. Her mission is to cultivate a space where students feel safe and encouraged, ensuring they walk away with both technical skill and the "I can do this" confidence that extends far beyond the piano bench.

If you’ve received a friendly text or email from the studio, you’ve likely met Melanie! As our Administrative Assistant, Melanie handles the vital "behind-the-scenes" work that allows our instructors to focus on the music. She holds a B.A. in Advertising from Brigham Young University, and she loves using her professional marketing expertise to help more families discover the joy of music.

Originally from California, Melanie recently relocated to Medford after a life of international travel, including time spent living in China, Ukraine, and Central America. This global perspective helps her connect with families from all walks of life. Her background in communications and project management ensures our studio systems run smoothly and every student’s enrollment journey is seamless.

When she isn't streamlining studio operations or prepping for our next showcase, you’ll find Melanie exploring local trails on walks with her family, playing sports, and enjoying life as a mom. 

Annie is a dedicated educator who believes that the bond between a teacher and student is the foundation of musical success. Having spent thirteen years at the keys during her own childhood, she grew up viewing her instructor as a "second mom"—a cherished mentorship she now recreates for her own students (minus the chores, of course!).

A Medford native through and through, Annie brings a powerhouse of teaching experience to our team. With five years in elementary classrooms and seven years as a homeschooling pro, she’s a master of patience and "lightbulb moments." Her background allows her to blend her love for history and storytelling into every lesson, making sure the music feels alive rather than just notes on a page.

When she isn't at the studio, Annie is usually busy keeping up with her three kids or getting lost in a good book. Whether she’s exploring local history or teaching a new chord progression, her mission is to share her lifelong passion for the piano while building the kind of "I can do this!" confidence that makes every student feel like a rockstar.
